Timor-Leste Joins Global Efforts for Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding

New York, March 13, 2024 – In a significant step forward for global peace initiatives, Timor-Leste proudly announced its participation in a joint statement delivered by H.E. Yamazaki Kazuyuki, Permanent Representative of Japan to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of March. Representatives from Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, and Bulgaria, among many others, united under Japan’s leadership to emphasize the importance of collaborative efforts in maintaining international peace and security.
