SIDS Forum: Shaping a Sustainable Future
The Small Island Development States (SIDS) Forum, held on March 4-5, 2024, gathered experts and stakeholders to address critical issues affecting these vulnerable nations. With a focus on Economic Resilience, Prosperity, Sustainable Future, Environment Protection, and Planetary Sustainability, the conference aimed to shape the future trajectory of SIDS.
The event emphasized the importance of data, resources, and collaborative efforts in addressing the unique challenges faced by SIDS. Sessions were live-streamed to registered attendees, ensuring widespread access to discussions and insights. On the second day, the ODI-RESI and collaborative partners convened on-site for closed sessions focusing on civil society engagement.
As the forum progresses, anticipation builds for ambitious outcomes for SIDS by 2034, setting the stage for the upcoming SIDS4 Conference. Participants are encouraged to register for Day 1 and stay engaged with the discussions shaping the future of SIDS.
